Pulling front motor mount, additional support needed?

I may consider pulling and painting my front engine mount, can/ should this be done without additional support underneath the motor?
Would hate for the weight of the motor to cause an unexpected shift or "sag" and bend one of the remaining mounts.

It won't be a problem. You still have the center bottom mount and rear mount holding things. Don't run it like that. The mount may be kinda wedged in. It fits tight. Just paint it up and use a little anti-seize on the nuts going back. Should be good to go.

:agree: A bit of wedging may be needed when reinstalling. sometimes the bolts can be SOBS to remove.

Clean those long mount bolts carefully and wipe them all over with anti seize. Whoever dismantles it next time will think the p.o. was an expert.

Outstanding suggestion, Lakeview! It's what I did to mine but too much whiskey... I forgot to mention it.
