I like to adjust idle on the fly on my '77D and I'm tired of using a screw driver. Know if anyone makes a nice big knurled idle adjustment screw for the BS38 Mikunis so I can make adjustments with gloves on? Alternatively, does anyone know the size/pitch of this screw?

Could you stick a section of say, rubber fuel line on the screw head to more easily grab?
A push on plastic knob could be found at a hardware store ?

A while back, several of us were doing modifications like that. If you can find an idle screw off of a TX750 it’s a direct replacement. Here is a thread from that time.

A plastic cap from a tire valve will fit over the screw head and make a fine knob.

I've had a couple sets of carbs that were finger adjustable, not with gloves on though......more because of screw head size. Getting the glove off on the fly is easy enough with yer teeth, not so easy putting back on.......
I've done a three county search for that thread size and pitch before, you're not gonna find it in a store.
