Its an item which comes up usually in the “wanted” threads.
Being always on the hunt locally and like hunting Bigfoot, a sleek good looking rear rack is just hard to believe it will ever be found.
I know of a few options such as Mailmans ANCO which is one on the list to track down.
To find one a guy has to know which, where, and how to stealthily swoop and score...
So I’m asking about this one pictured. Who has info on this or pics please.
2020 Update. RACK MOUNTED, completed, on the 78 Standard.

It sure looks as though it is a good fit Machine....great find!
Pete

out in the goat barn, I'll check it tomorrow in the light of day.
Much appreciated all of you. I sure have not been able to turn a rack up like the one shown on my own. Not in the last few years and you friends know and watch me turn some unusual XS pieces. It’s a fun hunt !
Thx, -Randy

That sure looks like an OEM rack,I have OEM racks on my RD400 and XS750 That look identical. The earlier production had teak strips on the rails where the parcel was lashed down to, also backrests are interchangeable. They are a bitch to find though.

It looks aftermarket and has no ID. My buddy had been running it on his '78 Standard but his center stand lift handle has been cut off and probably to make this fit.
Putting it up to my '77, the spacing looks correct for the mounting at the upper shock bolt and the turn signal mount- though the lift handle surely appears that it would be in the way.....I'd have to remove my upswept muffler to pop the upper shock loose to see fer sher. The backrest is removable. I've got a couple more pics with measurements if need be.

Nice shape to it. Even a back rest.

I’d even saw my frame handle loop off for one like that.. hmmm, what kind of XS parts are you looking for nj1639

I think I better keep this one. I have one for my wife's Special, also.

I used to be closer in Seattle. We like it over here.

I have been looking for a rack for my 1980 Special Two..but nothing I like as of yet..there was one thing i posted a link to..but I decided to pass on that..looking for something less bulky...and has a cleaner look like an ANCO
