I love poached eggs, use a Nordic Ware egg poacher, only 1 minute in the microwave...

Found one on Amazon for 2 bucks... amazing.
Tried it out this morning. Works a treat. :) 1 min. and they were just a tad too hard. I'll try 50sec tomorrow.

I recently saw something that read, "For good health, eat fresh, local, and seasonal." I'm getting there. I haven't had anything out of a box in months. I feel good. I'd like to find local yard strutter chicken and I'd prefer not do the butchering. IMHO, chicken here is very possibly unhealthy.

You're in Tyson territory. More history there.

Interesting vid, especially the part about DES. My mother was put on that, commonly prescribed in the early '50s for preventing miscarriage. My docs postulated that DES was probably the foundation for my cancer...

Double up a paper towel, lay 4-6 strips of bacon on it, more paper towel on top... 45-60 seconds later, cooked bacon. Works a treat.

Hi Jim,
we had a microwave bacon tray. It had metal in it's plastic that heated up to make the bacon crunchy.
Didn't use it much and it disappeared.
These days I cook bacon in a non-stick pan and pour the bacon grease on the dry dog food that the fussy bitch won't eat otherwise.

This Keto diet is amazing. Stick to the rules, eat as much as you want (which in my case isn't much), no urge to gorge.

Now down to 180 lbs.
Still overweight, flabs of extra skin showing.
My lymphedema is still quite reduced.
Resting pulse (normally about 100 bps from tachycardia) now hovers in the 70s.
Blood glucose tests in the 80-100 mg/dL range.
Still feeling tired tho'.

A new problem, my pants don't fit.
Had to go to a 36" waist, from a 38" waist.
And, had to punch new holes in my belt.

I first swelled to 180 lbs in 1980, slowly climbing to 215 lbs since then.
It's like turning back the clock 40 years...

Hell yeah..thats exactly what is happening with me..but I'm close to what i weighed in the 1970s.its addicting..the weight loss i mean..the more you lose the more you want to lose...keto saved me big time...Around this part of the country people arent just overweight..they're obese..Going to the local wally world to find pants that fit me..is not easy as most of whats in stock are for folks much bigger than me.. i had to complain to the store manager to stock smaller sizes..Now they do...My waist has gone from 36" to 30"..My shirts have gone from Extra large to Small!

thats amazing 2M ...you and Max are proof that a Keto diet really does work not only in sustained weight loss without starving but big improvements in your health too.

My diet stalled 2 weeks ago and I've been too ashamed to post since then as I have been eating carbs and put most of the weight back on again. Its difficult when your partner has a house full of cake and biscuits groan.........

Nothing to be ashamed about Peanut...everyone is not the same...so your results may vary...but you clearly know what to do...hang in there...

thanks MM........... you and 2M have made me realise how stupid I have been giving in to my Carb cravings again. I gave up smoking 20+ years ago and that was really tough but this should be easy in comparison plus the results are immediately apparent .
I'll start again tomorrow .:(

Breads were very hard to give up as was pasta..to say i loved those would be an understatement...But somehow i had enough resolve to see it through..Once you get those cravings under control then it really becomes much easier...

Don’t be ashamed. Come here for support. My wife drove my into this. Her health problems pushed me. She went away and I cleaned house. We’re a team. That helps me a lot. Also, I had nagging problems causing me misery. My new habits have brought relief. It’s more than the fat I was carrying. Feeling so much better is the motivation I need.

Congratulations to those of you having success, and best wishes to those of you working on it.
