This wasn’t on my bike, but I took some pics of the sunrise Saturday morning on the way to work some OT. There’s nothing like a fall sunrise. There seems to be something about the air that makes the light clearer. I HAVE been getting some sweet fall riding in the last two weeks. I am taking this Thursday off because I have my final interview with the local electricians union, so maybe I’ll take a ride to blow off some steam afterwards and get some great pics. The foliage around here really started to pop a few days ago. I discovered a new favorite road about half an hour from my new house; an old winding, narrow blacktop that runs just south of the river, lined with 4-5 farms, one of them an alpaca farm. I already miss my old routes, but now I can thread together a long, scenic ride of about 2 hours. Anyway, happy fall-

Nice pictures, Gary. Especially that last one, the panoramic view. How did you accomplish this; with a special setting on your camera/phone?

As for the dreaded "S" word that you used, I am already heavily focused on another S word, Springtime.
Thinking ahead works for me.
I'm starting to line up my spring projects.:)

Pano; yeah my ancient (fell off the handlebars at speed one time) Galaxy S5 does pano's, AFAIK many phones cameras do have the setting. If not there is cheap or free "stitching software" on the web to meld a series of shots into a pano. Facebook has a neat way to show pano's that just encourages me to shoot them. https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=10216321927624335&set=gm.10157604974954882&type=3&theater
S word is spring, yeah I like the way you think. With Allison's mom living downstairs I'm using the basement wood stove more and if the shop is warm, it's much more attractive to work in there.

Aha !
I see, now, that my iphone6 has pano.
Must learn to use use it.....

I use the basement workroom, too, during the W-----r.

Oooh! how do you like that? The new to me TLR200 is waiting it's turn on the lift. I think it goes on after I get the last 2 radian valve shims in.
just got home.jpg

There's a TY250 for sale not far from me...I've been tempted but the TLR WAS titled (lost of course) and I have most of the street bits in a box.

Is it more fun to ride than Madness?
Good God don't let madness hear you asking that!
Different for sure. Truly feels "vintage" Suspension is firm/stiff, steering a bit quick? Front brake is drum, nuff said.
Will be looking into those things over winter.
Towards the end of the day I started pushing some corners harder and it seemed fine.
But madness is the best handling Xs I've ridden.
(so far)
Wasn't stopped near other folks. But was getting thumbs up from guys doing yardwork and some real once overs from cars passing.

I think that's a plus for riding an old bike. Stopped at Menards one day on the airhead. One guy talked to me for a half hour before before I went in, another for a half hour after I went in.

Think the poor thing has Mikes shocks on the back, notoriously stiff. I was using my air/sheepskin butt pad and was still cringing on rough spots.
I guess my BH's aren't that bad.
