Wanted - Need two front brake lines

I've personally used stainless lines from mike's, Spiegler, and Goodridge . Spiegler is, IMHO, top drawer stuff (there are others also). I was satisfied with how I was able to get the line to 'lay in' to the orientation I wanted on the bike (RD400). Performance as expected.

Mike's: I have "early" lines on a '77XS650 from a decade(+) ago that I think are ok. Maybe not the quality as Spiegler, but functional. No issues.

And I have used Goodridge lines for a KZ1000 that I got from Z1enterprises. The thing that I liked about these is that I could get pretty much exactly the length and end that I wanted (within reason!). I did have to measure the length that I wanted and then do arithmetic to arrive at my desired end result. And yes, I did make a mistake computing how long a line to order once!

This seems to be the listing from Z1 at this time. As you can see, there are many lengths to choose from. Maybe a good source for those doing a hard-tail build or "bobber" (shudder). I have yet to have a leak from the ends once properly tight. Didn't use sealing compound or teflon tape, I suppose one could for assurance.

While Z1enterprises and mikesxs may be affiliated under the same corporate (if that's actually a correct way to put it), my experience with them is that they are totally different outfits. Haven't had a "bummer" from them yet.

Where do you measure these rubber end to rubber end or center to center banjos?

Good question, I’m seeing just over 50cm from eye center to eye center with the caliper hose stretched straight.

Neither, Grey One. Brake line lengths are specified end of banjo to end of banjo. The exception is universal lines with screw-in banjos. Then it's end of line to end of line, obviously.

measure twice, cut once. Using dimensions from banjo housing ends outside to outside, the longest seen distance, I measure 52cm on the Caliper line and 41cm on the Master cylinder line. This model is a Standard 77-79.
Thanks grizld1

I got mine on Ebay. Here's the link. Was hesitant bein' as how they're Chinese, but very happy with the quality. At ten bucks a line, they're hard to beat.
Pretty sure Dude and 5twins got theirs from the same place.

They look like they have the 15 degree angle on the ends ?

I won't be able to use them anyway on my 75 since its a 2 piece system with the break light block between them
Gotta check what needed on the 80 though

Z1 Enterprises has Goodridge brake lines and fittings. I bought a custom set of brake lines for my XS1100 several years ago and they were shit, and also expensive. I bought lines and fittings from Z1 before the buyout to replace them. I think it's the way to go. When you search, do not buy XS650 specific lines with fittings as they are the garbage sold by MikesXS. I had no trouble assembling the lines and fittings to near perfection and performance has been flawless. These folks are under the Revival Parts umbrella and they ship very quickly. I have to give them that.
