Hey all, Im finishing ye ole XS2, and dont want to go with new, rather Im looking for reasonable patina'd tank badges and side cover emblems preferably patina'd not new but not trashed.
If you have something you'd be happy to part with let me know please.....

sorry no, the ones I need are oval for the tank, with the YAMAHA embedded in clear plastic, and the sidecover badges are XS650 painted metal...

Ok, I have 2 gas tank badges from a 71 xs2 bike. Black with chrome lettering. Weathered just like you had requested.
Actually the underneath of the badges could be painted chrome and then the outer side could be refreshed like what you do to cloudy car headlights to make them clear.
I have 1 really good condition but not perfect side cover 'C' chrome trim. Not broken or cracked.
I could shoot some pictures of them in a little while if you want,
What do you think? Make me an offer, with shipping cost included. I live in Arizona.

I have a few of these left over from a while back. They are cast in pewter, have some pitting, but look pretty good once painted. The backs are flat (no mounting pins), so you will have to use your imagination for mounting them. Also have a couple of my own design, these are just raw castings though and would have to be filed/sanded. Price is $15 per pair, plus shipping.

I like the pewter ones, but I should stick with stock. Just pick the best two and Im good with those. As far as the tank badges are concerned, they look fine for me, suitably weathered......
Ive no clue what used badges are worth so Im turning it back to you......
Im in Edmonton Alberta T6M 2Y9 for a cost for shipping which shouldnt be too expensive.
