Yesterday, went looking for some 25-40-5 cam seals locally.7's will NOT work. No joy. Ordered 2 from a bearing shop. They will get here whenever they get here. So last night I went on Ebay and found a seal kit and bought it for around $20. It will get here next week. I should have done this months ago.

My dad hooked me up yesterday: He found a three-pack of these neat wire brushes (plastic, brass, and steel) at Dollar General! They actually have a design where there’s the brush, then there’s like a 45° angle on the tip with a little “detail brush”, SUPER USEFUL!!!!! I’d highly recommend them for cleaning those hard-to-reach areas on your engine!

I’m scrubbing out 40 years worth of s*** that’s built up on my mill! It’s amazing what a little TLC and elbow grease can do to an old beater! Brakleen, Mother’s polish...

In the process of a Brembo front brake upgrade.

Had to repaint x3 times due inadvertently scratching when removing the paint on the logo/ letters.

Took three weeks to complete because of the cure time window (could only touch up after 7 days).

Used VHT Caliper gold and clear.

Now I just need to pick up a cheap toaster oven for the final bake.

Don’t think the wife would approve of using the stove.
They DON'T like when we do that!!!

Turn signals are on,they are also the fender mounts.
Also got rid of the round reflectors next to the licence plate.
Everything is wrapped and soldered and heat shrinked. New rear tire also installed.

Going to do a big burnout to get all the mold release off the new tire. I'll take a video of that.
Lol

Back about 15 years ago I was riding across this bridge when this tiny troll jumped out in front of me waving his arms wildly overhead as if he wanted me to stop. I looked as the tiny little troll as I slid to a stop and shouted, "I ain't payin' you no toll, Troll. Just forget it."

"I don't want no toll," he answered. "I want a ride. I'm hungry, ain't been no goats come through here in years. I want to find something to eat."

I pondered his situation just a few seconds then asked, "You ever eat gremlins?"

"Yeah," he answered, "I ate a gremlin once."

"Did you like it?"

"Taste better than any goat I ever ate."

"Then why have you only eaten one?" I asked.

" 'Cause," he answered, "ain't but one gremlin ever tried to cross this bridge."

"So," I asked him, "how would you like to eat gremlins all the time?"

"That would be great," he answered.

So for 15 years that tiny troll has been eating the gremlins that come to create mischief and havoc on motorcycles everywhere.

Better than a Gremlin Bell and I'm the only one he protects.

"Got all the slippery stuff off the tire."
I'm not real smart, can just barely read, but I know that's a Yamaha XS650! I could tell it was when he hit the starter! Sounds just like mine the one time I tried it! ( Like someone stuck a broom handle up a cats azz! ) Play it again , Sam! ( You guys do know this guy ain't right? He's fitting right in!
If I had of tried that sh*t, it would have ground looped and I would have ended up on the bottom!

( Got side tracked) Ok, no guts no air medals. I got out the tank to replace the one some )(&)$@(&% dropped in the trailer and creased but good. It had been painted and prepped, ready for the decal application, and waiting, and waiting. In for a dime...and I won't go thru all the terrible steps and the 32 new words I added to my emergency vocabulary. And hey, no one will ever see the mess at 60 mph! I have it warming a bit by the box wood stove. I turn it ever so often. Maybe the warmth will help dry the moisture out from under the decals. (Sticking the bubbles with a pin and using a hair dryer don't work) I'll give them some time then it's the SprayMax 2K!
