Pentagram Star Wheels

Yesterday my friend brought the centering ring for the rear hub.'Perfect" All I had to do was index the mounting holes, drill through the ring into the original hub, tap the 5mm threads, and countersink the flat head screws. A couple of axle spacers and it`s ready for the next dilemma.

Me Too.:yikes: The No Theme Bike started as a budget build to use up all my left over parts from previous builds but that went to "Hell in a Hand Basket" in about 20 min. I might try that again but this time I`ll leave out the word budget??

Question, On the sprocket bolts I see you've done away with the folding(bending) lock tabs and gone with lock washers.
This has tempted me before to do as those folding tabs are so ugly. Loctite too ? Input here please
If you're using the stock swingarm, using washers creates interference problems. Don't ask how I know..

Another option is to use wave washers - they're not as thick as lock washers.

I always use a 520 sprocket with a standard chain. That ads another 1/8" of clearance to the swing arm and shocks. The washers in the pics are just some AN washers. I`ll probably use the lock tabs as ugly as they are. The axle in the pics is almost to the front of the slot. Lots of clearance.

That looks really sharp!
Standard chain? 520 chain? Or are you saying standard vs O-ring 520 chain?

Having a bolt back out of the sprocket will get your attention. It happened to me on the Blue Ridge Parkway. The folded tab wasn't done properly or failed, I don't remember as it happened in 2010. If I could buy metric bolts drilled for safety wire, I'd use them there. I know I can drill them, but I just don't want to.

I installed the pentagram wheels on a mock up frame to check the fit of the caliper bracket (found 2 of them). Spacers and dust covers have turned into a small challenge.:umm: The front is a bolt on piece of cake. Also dug out some old High Pipes I started and never finished. Imagine that.:shootme:
