Trying to stay in practice. I really don’t kickstart much anymore. Cold bike...one kick...HooAaa!

And a shorty, just because I already had the camera set up. :D Never mind the jet noise in the background, I’m so used to it , I never even noticed it until I played it back.

Bob, you'll never build up your right leg with "1-kick" starts...

Haha! Well you know, that video would’ve been deleted if it turned cranky and hard to start on me! :D

.....whaddaymean cold!

It was prolly 87 deg. Frankenberry when he did that.

To a guy from Arizona - I guess that is cold.

hehehehehehehehehe

Yeah I think it was low 50’s out. You can tell it’s winter here by the way people dress. The Arizona natives are all buried under coats and hats and the winter visitors are walking around in shorts, t-shirts and sandals , and laying out by the pool working on their tan!

The little Honda 200 Reflex started a week ago at 6F, took a few kicks, then it ran good.
I try to warm up the chain saws before starting them too. Rope starting a high compression 70cc can get tough when they are cold.

prolly wear a tuque and long johns in summer if he would come visit up in our parts Pete! Lol JC.....just teasing Bob!

I saw a group of kids playing pond hockey last Sunday on my way back home from my mom and dads place in northern NB. Already had a foot of snow and cold. Skidoos are already out and dad took his blower out but I needed to fix the gear linkage.

Really? It's been almost 40F during the day here lately. That means, put on a sweater, no coats. I'd be riding the bike to the diner for breakfast if not for the left over salt on the road. Well, 10:00, not too late to leave, and the bike needs a wash anyways. Nah, the rust from salt aint worth the ride.

Thread hijack warning.
mrtwowheel. could you post a picture of the gas cap opening on your tank. I'm trying to fab the pin that the cap latches to.

Thanks
Jack

Thanks I saw that. Hoping a picture will give me a idea of what material it is made of. Seems like the spring in the cap will put a lot of stress on the pin. Funny a part I looked at hundreds of times back in the day without a thought is now causing me stress.
