I’m on the Sun Valley Parkway, a mostly undeveloped 30 mile stretch of open desert.
Heading towards the town of Buckeye.

No windscreen? Brrrrr

Yeah I know, the sun isn’t out today, it’s colder than usual. Can’t feel my face right now!
I’m 43 miles out right now. I’ve been riding past dairy farms and farmland. Here’s the nations largest nuclear power plant in the distance, the Palo Verde power plant. You can see the three reactor domes and steam from the cooling towers. Those steam plumes caught my eye from twenty miles away.
A nosy coyote just crossed the road in front of me.

Stopped in Buckeye at the world famous Ranchero Rodeo Restaurant and had a burrito the size of my head! Tanked up on hot coffee and headed back to the barn

Just got home, 90 miles this morning.

Sorry I stopped taking photos, I was having too much fun just strafing through the farm fields on the way home. Wasn’t much to see at that point anyways.
The sun finally came out, a great morning!

Good to see you out on the bike, Bob !

Our local forecast is for a high of 53F with some sun this Tuesday.
I just checked the oil and battery on Jimi the '80; maybe we'll be out at the same time !

Jeff

Hey Jeff, I just sat down and was re reading this. Did you get a chance to get out today?

A little foot note: The building pictured behind my bike is known as the Joslin building, built in 1909. It was exactly what it appears to be in this photo, part of the building was the Payless food market and the other part was an old hotel.

You did such a nice job, restoring that '72, Bob. Are those low slung mirrors?

T
Thank you! The mirrors are actually early Honda CB knock offs, that I bought on EBay.
The stems are pretty long.
Thanks, Bob. One of the stems of my mirrors cracked in the middle and flew off on the highway a long time ago, metal fatigue, vibration and air pressure. At that time, I bought a moped mirror. I'll take a look at what's on line, now as I have two different stems.
