Would love some spoked wheels for this , but am thinking they don’t do a rear soled with disc, or does something else fit that I could look for ??

The KZ750B and 1000 have disc brake and 20mm axle. So thats a possible contender. I'm using one but I swapped my swingarm so can't say how it'll fit stock brakes.

The gs 1000 looks really nice , but the rims are soooo expensive, especially the W rim which I would like , I’m currently looking at a us import on eBay that’s a complete basket case but has a set of good wheels on but they aren’t disc unfortunately.

Get those rims from Italy, bout $120 USD including shipping... "like borrani" LOL

My 2 cents...I think the cast wheels lose their "LOOK" once painted black, paint them back to grey and you may not feel the need to go to the spoked wheels.

Also, how / what was necessary to get the champion style seat to work with an XS frame?

I'm old so this is how I see matters like this.
I think the lack of color other than black on the flattracker requires the wheels to be grey, alloy, or chrome...the motor or fork tubes being black indidlvidually is OK but the combination of all being black with the black wheels causes the bike to lose its quality build luster.

This is great feedback gentlemen, the flat track seat and battery tub were bought here in uk at a big show that we have , The classic bike show at a place in Staffordshire about 3 years ago , it fitted superbly after frame was stripped, I’m sorry I can’t remember the company that made it , they were doing tubs and seat units for all kinds of flat tracker projects . To be honest I was going to polish the rim before I had the rims powdered but it was quite common here at the time so I thought I’d keep it like the engine , a satin black , I would really love some talon hubs and excell rims but they won’t build them because obviously I have cast wheels and I fear £1500-£2000 for spoked hubs and re lase and w rims . I have looked on eBay US and they are big bucks , it is interesting to hear what others fit though gents .

Well on barn finds, if tins aren't dented and paint is good, that might be half the value, that at nice gauges.

Since you are so appreciative of our critiques, here is a 5 dollar before and after test / opportunity for you to take, if you want to know what the wheels would like "back to cast" color.
Buy a roll of grey duct tape, tape the wheels while still on the bike, cut around the tire, etc..it will provide a "hillbilly look" but it will allow you stand back 20 feet and squint, you will then be able to see the difference with grey wheels vs black. All for under $5 and an hour of your time.
Im of the opinion wheels are the "jewelry" of a car or motorcycle and right now with black wheels, fork tubes, motor and schocks, your Gal is missing her jewelry.
Hope this helps but once again, it's only my opinion and I'm old.

Alan---Is the rear wheel on backwards ???
