Anybody here ever try the RaceTech emulators setup? Even these modern forks with all their adjustments
need internal mods to perform right and the cost can really skyrocket. I just need to be able to fine tune
the front suspension with the rear R6 shock i'm using.

I have RaceTech emulators in my XS1100 Special. I was disappointed with customer support from RaceTech. I met Matt Wiley at the Barber evert and he saved it. I'm happy after I received his guidance. I'm matched with straight rate springs from Traxxion Dynamics in Georgia. If I have a do-over, I'll source everything from Traxxion. They also sell the RaceTech emulator and support the product. The bike is as good a canyon carver as an 11 Special can be, so I'm very happy.

I've used Race Tech cartridge emulators for years, installed them on my XS650D and SV650 Suzuki, and I recommend them highly. Be sure to use straight rate springs with emulators; dual rate springs will send a false signal to the valve. RaceTech offers a full line of springs in different rates, if you give them your rider weight and bike weight they'll give you the right stuff.

+1 re. Traxxion Dynamics! RaceTech wasn't producing springs for the D model's 35 mm. forks when I set my bike up, and the folks at Traxxion had springs custom made for me. The first set was too heavy. Told them the problem and how I measured sag, and they told me to send the springs back after they sent a lighter pair. They even paid the shipping. Can't say enough good about their expertise and ethics, a class act from start to finish.

Marty and Griz, thanks for advice,I'll be looking at Traxxion or Race Tech for the parts. The forks i'll be using are zx1000 41mm with those anti dive system with an bypass mod,so they'll need some help.

Marty ,will the emulators work with air assist forks or do you bypass those? I'm looking at couple front ends the ZX1000 and XJ900R complete but the forks are air. I've been searching along time for that XJ front end cuz I want a 19" up front.

My XS1100 has air forks. I just run without air. Air forks and emulators are incompatible technologies I believe. Much like emulators and progressive springs.

I have the Racerech emulators and springs on my V Max which has air assisted forks, well pleased with the set-up,
There is no need for air once you have some decent springs fitted.

One other point is it is that it's essential to set the static sag.
Not do so means you are only doing half the job and won't be getting the best from your investment.

Absolutely! My XS1100 is set to 35 mm laden sag, IIRC. I did that for Georgia roads, which are mostly all smooth pavement. Now, in Mississippi, I may need to revisit that. The roads here make me think I'm in New England, or some third world country.

Appreciate all the input but on both of those suspensions no internal bushings or sealing rings are no longer available only outer seals. Can't see putting money in old forks if parts are worn out when disassembling for RT mods. Was on the computer most of the day yesterday searching for parts with no luck.

I'm working on custom emulators for the 35mm forks. They're in development now, will be posting more when they're complete, hopefully soon!
