Why do my projects drag on forever?
needed to weld a bracket on the swing arm for the disk brake torque arm.
needed to finally get that TIG welder set up (been sitting in shed, untouched, for a year)
needed to make a cart for TIG to sit on.
needed to bring in MIG to weld TIG cart cuz I ain't working in the shed at 10F
while the MIG was going by, needed to weld a new damper handle on basement wood stove.
needed to drill out passages in the stove for a larger rod cuz the old one was too scrawny.
needed to take apart stove to drill.
got MIG in garage, working on TIG cart, second weld it runs out of gas.
Take cylinder off MIG cart.
Mess around redoing stinger connection cuz wire feed has been glitchy
That MIG is looking REALLY shabby it's 30 years old... As long as the cylinder is off....

Got in some practice on the mill.

After googling, used the miter saw and a 12" carbide wood trim blade to make the big angle cuts.

That YZF front looks damn good:bike: Don't know what you have in mind for a fender but I found an idea for ya. Need to go back to a XJ forum.

Sure hit me on the thing I ain't figgered out yet...
That's kinda the stance I was looking for, for "The Basketcase". I was thinking of welding a tube between the down-tubes, to give a set of "forward controls" something to anchor to. I kinda like the idea of riding a recliner down the road, instead of having my legs all folded up under me...
It's called Alzheimer in the beginning stages
No...that's just Someheimer's. :wink2:

Yeah been spit balling ideas, but up front with room for my 34" inseam.
Will prolly need to route pipes inside the frame rails below to get room for my feet without melting my sole(s)
It's getting a backrest too. Will be hard to buttonhole this to an existing "type" Dontcha no. Like Pete sed all gggGary:poo:

Back in the 1970's there was this bloke Royce Creasey wrote in Bike magazine about his idea - the feet forward motorcycle or FFM. Well reasoned about comfort, control, aerodynamics and so on. Mind you, some of his creations were well weird.
