Sons of Arthritis

I havent any neuropathy in my feet..I guess my levels of pain and discomfort pale to many others..I know it could be alot worse..
this week i changed Dr's..and medications as well.. Indomethacin is out and Meloxicam is in..however i have yet to see the effects as it is still new to me.. My trigger point cortisone injections vary on how long they last..anywhere from 2.5 months to 4 months..But i always need to renew....Originally the Dr. said no more than every 3 months..but now my appointments are every 2.5 months. Most recent round was a week ago and i'm feeling as good as i could be...still taking the Turmeric as well...

Wow, guys. You make it sound like we're old or something. I've had the plantar warts, and plantar fasciitis, carpal tunnel(s) (both fixed), impingement tendonitis in both shoulders, throat cancer, my aortic valve replaced, and long ago, I blew out my left knee, skiing. It got "a little" better, over time, but, years later, started getting worse. Eventually, there wasn't anything left of it for the cortisone shots to help, so seven years ago (at age 53), I had it replaced. I was back on the job eight weeks later. I tell people, I'm like an old car (or motorcycle!) : I'm always going back to the "shop" for more work... I suppose the alternative is worse, but you won't catch me dying all over the place. You'll have to kill me before I die!

We've got a lot of rural in Oswego County. I don't quite live in the sticks, but I can see them from here! I can die any time I want, I just don't want to.

I am native to Western New York. I escaped a long time ago. The economic outlook for me was very poor. Yes it's rural and very pretty. The climate doesn't suit me. The taxes assure I will never return. I told my kids that if they choose to bury my bones there, I'll curse them.

I love this guy! :smoke: That’s the spirit! I know I got caught up in some crap I was going through a while back.
You can’t let it get in your head. Damn the torpedos! Full steam ahead!
When life cuts your arms off, kick it’s ass! It’s only a flesh wound!

I too am a native new yorker..from long island...my parents moved us out in 1967..back then they already had enough of Ny and winters there...Moved to Tucson...and other places too...My last visit to staten island for thanksgiving reminds me of why I no longer want to live there..or in NJ either...You can never go home again...
Down here you can have your burial plot on your own land...especially out in the sticks...
