13.5" RFY shocks lined up with Radian swingarm, O-Ring chain shorten from 110 Links to 108 lined up with sprockets. Went for a test run up the street was running nice just gotta bleed the under slung rear caliper.

Nuthin much today. Put the gas tank back on and put some more gas in. Was sooo nice not to see any drips. Warmed up the SG to move the oil around. Sounded good. Shut 'er down and pulled the drain plugs. Changed the filter. Re installed the drain plugs and put in some 10w-40 M/C oil.

... Ive actually had this insane idea of building a supercharged xs, probly not gonna happen but these little guys are so dam cute 150.00 all day long free shipping. called an AMR 500 supercharge. I assume its 500 cc inside. they list anything from .8 to 2.0 liter engines...

...ngk counterfit plugs going around...

Have a look at these...

Being on this Keto diet has reduced my tolerance of cold. Bad enuff being a Texican in winter, but my wintertime activities are severely reduced.

But, finally got around to fooling with the gadget during a warm spell.

Found a circuit error that I and the simulator overlooked.

So, I'm setting in the shop, strategizing the delicate modification.
Everything was quiet. On my stool I sat.
Not a creature was stirring, not even a cat.

Then out on the porch there came such a clatter,
I stepped outside to see what's the matter.

There's a rather rotund, jolly ol' bearded fellow, decked-out in fluffy red and white.
Holding a clipboard, he looks at me and says:

"I'm making a list, and checking it twice.
I see that you have your own list, something about a bucket?
Well, it's too big and heavy for my sack.
So I'm dropping it off early, save me some grief.
But, you can't play with it until the 25th."

Ohboy, another mouth to feed.

It seems to fit in the new shed...

Wow Steve! That is so nice! The new BBQ Hunter, with an electric starter no less! Congratulations, I’ve had the opportunity to ride a couple different Victory motorcycles and I always thought they had a really nice motor and those narrow front wheels make the steering really light! You deserve it buddy! :)

Hey, thanx Bob.
Yeah, it *is* a personal landmark for me.
This is the first time that I've touched an electric starter since 1978, 41 years ago. And with the modern ECU, you leave the throttle alone, it just starts.

Solenoid operated clutch ?

Haha, sorry, no. Your gettin' cold.
Guess that makes sense. It *is* 28°F out there...

I made a start on my recently acquired XS2. The last inspection sticker on the bike was 1975 in Kentucky, but I don't know if that means anything or not. The inside of the tank looked bad, it has been filled to the brim with white vinegar for a week.....today I emptied it, threw in a couple of handfuls of stainless nuts and began the shake dance. I got this out of it.

This is how it looked before. :yikes:

This is most of the solid crud that came out....:wtf:

Plus several repeats looking like this.....until it ran clear

And ended up like this.

Still not perfect......it's currently sitting with a greenhouse heater underneath to dry it out.....I think a little endoscope inspection gadget might be coming my way at Christmas.....depending on what else I see, it might get a further wash with oxalic acid which should remove every last trace of rust.

Oh......and I now stink of a combination of stale fuel and vinegar...... nice!

Haha, interesting. Somewhat close, but no.
Google earth already has a "digital tack".

It's just something that's overly complicated, of little use, and nobody would want to build...

3 white wires a brown and black.
stator wires
power feed.
ground

5 diodes . 3 to rectify the stator leads 2 for relay coils
what appears to be a couple of inductors and a cap. LC circuit . band pass filter ?
a couple of relays

Rev limiter
up shift light
over voltage protection

That's all I got.
