Cruzinimage drops e-bay

Just got a note from Mitsuo stating he is no longer selling parts on E-bay . He claims to many problems so he has posted $1000 shipping charge. He will only sell on his website..

tim
any opinions on this vendor / parts
just curious

Thanks for the info @timbeck ; I guess I placed my order before he decided to stop on ebay. @Greyandridin many people including me have used the cruzinimage pistons and are happy customers. I purchased the 78mm 706cc piston kit and the quality was just as good as the stock pistons. The head gasket that came with the kit was very good quality too. Now they aren't wiseco forged pistons, but the price was the better option to me.

Nice to know Thanks Mike

Very nice thread you linked in 650Skull!

When I had my 0.5 pistons from Crusinimage the guy at the piston shop said both pistons measured in as identical so he bored both cylinders the same. After fitting and running for 25 miles I examined the bores and there were a couple of fine vertical scratchs. I did take the sharp cornors off after filing the rings for gap size, but should I have taken the edge of the rings contact face before fitting??

My only criticism with the pistons was I felt (subjective) the clips for the wrist pins were not particularly nice fitting. The original Yamaha clips were thicker and felt like they make a more positive firm fit when they clip into place.

But the bike is still running nicely after about 3000 miles.

Ordered a replacement set of GS850 piston rings from cruzingimage, as I'd used up my last OEM set.
The arrived bloody fast and on arrival I checked them very carefully for size, could find absolutely nothing untoward.
I won't know how good they are until I build the other engine, but I'm taking the chance on his complete gasket set anyway.
I notice he's got XS carb intake rubbers, and possibly XJ ones too. The XS and XJ share the same mount holes and flanges so I might get some.
I heard too many stories of the cheap ebay ones losing the carb vacuum insert, which is not good.

Just FYI I ordered some parts form his website directly. He sent me the incorrect clutch and admitted this and offered to send me the right one. However I also ordered a piston kit and it was missing the rings. He then got upset and wants me to send everything back to him for a refund. I offered to buy the rings from him and he refused. I spent $128 with shipping and return shipping is $130. I think he knows this and intentionally ripped me off. He claims he doesnt understand. I sent a message on ebay (he didnt know it was me) and I asked if the kit comes with the rings, and he replied yes and understood what I was asking.

Im not sure if he is dishonest or incompetent.
