Wanted - Handle bar switch.

Right side handlebar switch for 1981 XS650 Special. My starter button fell out.
Is there a good after market fix for this??

Its happened to a lot of us, it’s an easy fix. Mikes XS sells an inexpensive replacement.

I was going to photograph and document the process, but as soon as you open up the switch, you realize that you just finished the hard part! :laugh2:

Starter OR horn from MANY Yamahas use the same button.

That was easier than I expected. Kick starter still works but I would rather not, work that is.

If you picture the button as a top hat, it's the brim that eventually fails. Kiboka Joe sold aluminum replacements but who knows where he is these days. Note that horn and starter buttons are interchangeable.

Not just Yamahas used that button. I think a LOT of bikes used that button.
