Attn: Shipping Gurus

Yamadude if you stop and think about it it's not bad. It takes time to pick a order, package it and print a label to ship it. I'm sure it would take at least 10 minuets to get your order ready. Plus the cost of shipping.
How much is/was 10 minuets of your time worth when you are working?
I think its worth 55 cents (stamp) plus $1.45 in labor and envelope = $2

I've bought decals off of EBay for such costs.

This is why most of the time I don’t care about the cost of shipping and I try as much as I can to give free shipping just to sell the part and make pennies. For you guys who build you know what it takes to do rebuilds and the labor involved. You tell someone a price of what it should be and then bang you fine that the parts are trash or something more is broke. Now you got to go back and look like a asshole and ask for more. I built 3 motors for a drag race team a couple years ago and nicknamed the motors the 3 Stooges all 3 the same. Each motor had to be fast and I used the very best parts and shops to get them done. Two guys ran the numbers that I said motors will run one guy drove me nuts because his bike ran no where near the other two. So I asked the other two was he doing something wrong they said no. So now again I get the call I want my money back or I sue. Now I am pissed because I go over the notes and all good like the other two stooges so I ask when are you going to test again. They tell me and me and a buddy who also drag raced bikes go to NC and show up at the track. I go over bike all good guy makes pass and it’s horrible but I see the problem. I tell guy let my buddy ride bike all agree if we damage we pay. First pass on bike my buddy puts bike close to other two stooges. Next pass with different tune and we are even with other two. Now I drove from NJ to NC paid my buddy’s way and the guy can’t ride his own bike and wants to sue me . So this is why I stopped building race bikes you need balls to ride them so I told the guy to buy some. You just never know if you are right or wrong.

650 owners have always been cheap guys but lately they still want to complain even if it's free.
If you want the few suppliers left to go out of biz just keep it up. Amazon has screwed the system
by getting usps, ups and fedex into giving them a super cheap price at our expense. Fedex just baled
out of this deal with them. In the last 6 years shipping has quadrupled and now it's to the point where
the freight cost has jacked up everything so that the cost in the end is crazy. Everyone wants free
shipping but it is killing the vendor. We should be gratefull that you can even get the part these days
as Yamaha does not care. Most Yamaha parts are unavailable even though they list them . Yamaha
drops the prices on discontinued items even though they don't have them and have no intention to
make them again. Let us know if you ever find a deal.

We're still getting screwed by China!

I'm reading between the lines that some USPS poobahs will retire to their gated community mansions, and island estates, laughing all the way.
Well here's some more info

Looks like things will be changing this summer, the "free shipping from China" is likely soon over.
Think of the jobs coming to the US, as chinese producers are forced to bulk ship to US based distribution centers to repackage for retail shipment.
