Credit goes to RobinC for finding those. :)
I'll vouch for 'em. Great quality and price.

I’ll tell you a little back story on that. Robin did more than discover them, he lived near Diablo Cycles offices, he used to go in there and talk to them. He approached them about a decal set for his bike and they asked him if he would be willing to bring in the switch gear off of his bike because they wanted to create reproduction labeling for them to sell. In exchange they would give him a new set of labels for free. And so he did.

No great shakes more fire stoking than bike wrenching. Fork seals, oil, clean up. Brake lines, swapped to an xs650 mc. Calipers cleaned, assembled, filled, bled. Threw on special headers and a crash bar looking at foreward footpeg mounts.

I hung a set of BS34s I had rebuilt LAST winter, handlebars, throttle, clutch perch cable, new oil seal, sprockets and chain, just enough wiring for the spark. Welded in a mount for the new coil. Hung a temp fuel tank, and from dry carbs it was running on about the 4th kick, sounded good, and steady, revved cleanly no missing, no smoke.
So; a basic VAPE install is quite straightforward.
May just keep on hanging enough parts to give it a rip up and down the road. (for testing purposes only) Temps in the 50s predicted for Sunday.

Don't know how you do it Gary. When I have a bike under construction I tend to get all OCD on it. Wife gets mad when I'm never in the house lol.

Overall I'm not very motivated, Happens to me. Current situation in the world doesn't help.

Same here, I have to push myself to do normal things. I go on news blackouts for days at a time, it just bogs me down, I can only take so much bad news. I tend to get lost in minor jobs that I can spend time on and doesn’t require much thought.
For example, I have a pair of old fashioned hedge clippers , you know the ones that look like big scissors, I’ve had em forever. I don’t think I’ve ever cleaned or sharpened them. Well a couple days ago I took them apart and cleaned twenty years of built up sap and rust off of them , worked on them with a Dremel and wire wheels, Rolock discs, you name it, I did it. I put a nice sharp edge on them , you could easily remove a finger with it now. :D They absolutely gleam now, then I greased all the hinge points and oiled the blades and hung them back up. I hardly ever use them , I use my big electric one. So why did I do it? because it occupied my mind for about three hours! :laugh2: Hey man, just trying to ride this mutha out!
