On ebay, with 13 hrs to hammer down..... a very nice 77'..... currently at $4550.oo... no reserve…. a great buy, The time and funds invested in the machine by the owner exceeds that easily. At one time the across the ponds deep pockets would be all over it.
On the 650 forum... a nice Xs1..first year, greenie..... craigslist from Philly, PA... seller opened the discussion about the value.. and wanted input before he toss'd it on ebay. Seller thinks.. $10,000.oo.
BFE Cycles.... Kelly, Iowa.... has a Xs1.. a bit rough.... but worth the effort to bring back to all its greenie glory.. but the take it off the show room floor is... $25000.oo They have a website.

Yamaha xs650 bikes are prettmuch the Pinnacle of Japanese 70s era bikes. Other like the cb 350s and cb750s are a close second.

The XS650 is definitely Yamaha's #1 of the 70s. But Kawasaki and Suzuki fans may well disagree with you... . Mach IV, Z1, KZ1000, GT750, GS 750, etc.

Those have nowhere near the following. The following of the xs650 with forum's etc is what makes it so popular.

Btw, the Yamaha RD's still are very popular as well, I actually have an RD350A myself........And there are several forums for those as well. 2strokeworld.net and aircooledrdclub.co.uk
