Hello any one, I’m looking for a picture of a ’75 650B metric speedo.

Does anyone have one laying about so he can show me one ??

Need it to restore my European ’75 650B but I don’t even know

How the face plate should look like.

Hi Niels,

Thanks for the help and the pictures. The instruments on the right are the same as on my '79 650F. I'm looking for the historically correct picture of a European 1975 XS650 model 533. The picture on the left i have seen but I’m not Shure / convinced if that is the correct one.

I have found (i think) a picture of the correct Yamaha folder at the Dutch XS650 club but i cant zoom in on it because the resolution is not high enough.

A friend of mine who is a member is now trying to get a higher res picture of it. If I have it I will post it here.

the

This is a picture of a 1975 XS650B on offer at Ebay under the name of Gauges for a 1974 XS650B. But according to a post by Skull on this the 1974 speedo has the trip meter on the bottom and not on top as in the pic. So.... all the info i am getting and finding makes me worry if it is corret or not.

I have given you the description difference between the 74 and 75 speedo face..........use that information and relate it to your rev-counter.........

First let me thank Niels and I hope the Danish 650 club has the right picture.

And Skull, I had the same thoughts and I thank you for the elaborate explanation on the differences between the ’74 and ’75 speedo’s because that was the starting point of my diliberation.

So here are my thoughts: I think the graphics for the scale of a metric speedo for a European ’75 650B should look the same as in the picture i have posted but with KM/H up to 220 instead of Miles.

This because the graphics of the Tacho of a US / European ’75 650B look exactly like the one in the picture above from a folder of a European '75 650. Problem is i can not zoom in on this picture cause of the low DPI of the picture.

So I’m still not a 100% sure if my deliberation is correct until I have seen a picture of an original one so I’m still looking. Anny thoughts gents??

sorry getting off the subject : did the us model only come with single disc ? i thought that the dual disc was introduced in 1976
