I've been looking at this particular bike for awhile as my inspiration. I've shown friends, some of them call it a cafe, others a tracker, what would you say?

It's definitely not a cafe. One of the major components of a cafe is very low bars (clubmans or clip-ons). Many also have a seat with a hump or cowl on the back. I'd call it more of a tracker style but with those fat tires and clipped fenders, you could also classify it as a bobber.

I agree, I didn't view it as Cafe, I felt more of a Brat/tracker if you swapped the seat. Didn't really think bobber too much, but I can see it.

I saw this one and I got some ideas. I have derelict Specials, both XS1100 and XS650. I few tweaks and it’s “muscle bike”.

I think that might be what I like best, everyone has a different view of it. Definitely the basis for my build when I get back to it. I'm building it "for the wife", what that really means is I'm building it as I want it, but will let her ride it to get her into riding. She has wanted a bike for a while but my accident has scared her a little. She prefers the look of sport bikes, but I showed her this picture and she seemed to like it.
