**SOLD**

This is the only bike I've ever owned and it just sits in the garage now, so I'm new to selling a bike! I have no way of hauling it other than buying a U-Haul. If you can pick it up, that'd be great. I'll provide any information I can give. Here are a few details to start:
Good condition
Seat is in great condition
Some parts were upgraded, including the engine, by the previous owner (I'm not sure what, honestly)
Gas tank lined with Red-Kote Sealer
Push-To-Start doesn't work
I'm the 4th owner ever
7,457 Miles
I'm honestly not sure if it runs at this point. It's been years since I've got it running but it definitely ran. It might be a great bike to fiddle with if anything!
I bought it for $1,500 in 2015 and then put another $500 into it with various missing parts, like an original tank and seat. I would part with it for $1,250 but am open to discussing the price if you're interested.

Your price point may or may not be OK, depending upon the market in East Tennessee. Keep in mind, you're preaching to the choir here. Most of us already have these bikes. We're looking at it, evaluating the value of the parts. If you have a valid title, that is an important piece of information and likely adds value. once again depending upon where you are. The 1975 is one of the most common, certainly for a standard. The mileage is meaningless, because that odometer is not original to the bike. A video of it running would make it much easier to sell. Not running, to most of us here, it's a parts bike. Otherwise, you'll only get what someone local is willing to pay for it. Your best bet is selling it on Facebook Marketplace, Craig's List or eBay. On this forum a non running incomplete XS650 will bring you very little, IMHO.
Best wishes and be well!

Thank you for the detailed response! All of that was really helpful, as I'm essentially clueless about most of this. Kind of makes it hard to get this bike into better hands. haha I'll certainly take your advice and look into Facebook Marketplace, Craig's List, or eBay.
Thanks again!
