So I have successfully destroyed two Pamco ignitions by leaving my switch on (1) and (2) turning motor over without spark plug grounded. I know nothing about electronics but I was wondering if anyone out there can rebuild these units? They look pretty simple and I would be willing to exchange one unit for the repair of the second one. Any takers or guidance?

i think the original pamco is electrically his jar lid prototype on his website. you could probably use the same parts as replacement parts, if the parts are unknown on the production version. test parts and replace with jar lid part if production part number is unknown

Both units show dark areas- one is a fried pickup (I think) and the other is on the circuit board but I don’t know what to call it.

Actually one unit is Pamco and the other is Mikes XS. Pamco’s looks pretty toasted but the Mikes is clean except for a copper strip.

The broken circuit is something you can fix.First clean the copper till shiny, cut a section of braid long enough to overlap the copper, carefully lightly flux the copper, lay the braid on, then solder with resin core solder, Use very thin electronics solder with careful control of heat.

on this one:

...cut the loose parts of the trace off with a sharp knife and run a thin jumper wire from where it goes to where it goes... i can see one where it goes in the picture, below the resistor, but can't see the other. THIS THREAD has the part number for the big transistor that blew. if a part doesn't look burned, it's probably ok. should be easy to fix for anybody who can order parts and solder. anybody who does electronics can fix it -- radio club, some music stores, etc.

Wow. Wasn’t expecting such great information. I enjoy a new challenge and learning something new. Now I guess I need to find the copper tape and transistor.

you could use copper tape, but it's pretty fastidious. i'd just use jumper wires. "wire wrap wire" is good wire for that kind of stuff. if you're worried about vibration you can use a glob of hot melt or shoe goo to hold it down at strategic places. no need to try and make the repair look invisible, just solid. i have experience in this stuff
