just been trying to do my r6 fork conversion but ran into trouble so thought would just give a heads up to anyone wanting to go the same ... using the incognito moto conversion stem .. when trying to put the locking nuts / castle nuts on, found the xs650 nuts to small so thought using the r6 forks ,those R6 nuts might fit .. which i didnt have and almost ordered from a wreckers .. but no ... its the castle nuts off the GSXR that fit according to inconito after i got in touch with them .. nothing on their web site about it .. talk about frustrating

arrrrrr... the 2nd hand gsxr castle nuts turned up from the wreckers .. to big .. so now dont know what is suppose to fit it .. the xs650 conversion stem is 27mm , the gsxr is 29 mm .. the original xs650 stem is ??? but smaller than 27mm .. incognito say they have the right castle nuts for $20 us ea but would most probably be 50 for shipping which would make for some very exie nuts and take more time :cussing::cussing::banghead::cussing::cussing: .. suppose next thing is ring the wreckers and ask for them to measure some nuts and hope the threads are ok .. this living in the back blocks can have its draw backs

I'm thinking you need something like this, it fits GSXR through the first gen USD forks.

You'd think for the money incognito would supply the hardware...

Flea. What is the diameter of the stem and the pitch of the thread. I might have a couple in the shed. I got some 24 x 1.5 ring lock nuts from an ebay seller.

inconito never said anything on their site about the castle nuts that i could find , was only after i asked that they said about off the gsxr and they could supply them , these were not advertised (again that i could find) .. they do quality work and fast post but they seem to stuff up .. ie sent me the wrong top plate but replaced it at their $$ , the bloke i bought the bottem plate and stem said he was selling because was sent the wrong 1 ..(ie.. he wanted the r1 conversion) but again replaced at their $$ and now nothing about a different castle nut being needed or sold ... will ring the wreckers tomorrow and ask for a 27mm nut and hope they have enough between the ears to guess the right pitch .. other alternative take the small nut to machine shop with the stem and get the nut machined to suit ..more $$$$

I had a look in the shed and a SV650 stem is 25mm x 1. No 27mm nuts. To get a rough idea of the pitch hold a steel rule against the thread and count the threads per 10mm.

27 x 1.5 lock nuts can be found on Ali Express.

ya .. gsx nuts fit found some at a wreckers ...now have to work out how to attach the brake lines to to the bottem triple tree plate , if drill and tap a thread to bolt it on theres only about 11mm before starting to drill into the stem , not sure if this will be enough depth to support and hold the brake lines in place considering the flex of the lines when in use and the movement of the forks, any other ideas any one has used
