Trying to pick out my new rear shocks, really just looking at the styling right now. If I like the look and the length works out then I will start shopping for higher quality.

These are my options (I know they're not all the correct fit)

The bike as it sits now, what do you think, right middle or left? I'm also looking to add 1" or 2" length.

Whichever you choose you will need a 10mm lower bushing and 14mm upper bushing. Most "Chinky Shocks" come with 10`s & 12`s. The center pic looks good to me.:twocents:

Now this my opinion but I dont really the air canister thing on the side of the shocks. Its a bit much and to me only looks good on dirt bikes. I do think you should go with some longer shocks tho

Be careful with chassis mods. Adding 2" would set eye-to-eye length at 14.75". For reference, Michael Morse ran 14" shocks on his roadrace machine. If you set the rear too high you'll wind up with problems (instability and chain clearance). Assuming the shocks do have working reservoirs, they should contain nitrogen, not compressed air, and should not be tampered with; the small volume makes pressure changes very touchy, and service should be left to a pro with the right equipment.

I'm still thinking used take off shocks off late model Triumphs is a cheap and good option.
2017 Speed Twin, Approx 13.4" eye to eye. Stock Yamaha bushings fit in.
(some assembly required)

I meant 2" over what's on there which are lowered, maybe 11.5" so I'm talking going back to stock or maybe an inch higher
