What is the ideal size capacitor?

The way I understand capacitors. They are measured in micro farads. A lot of caps at work have this marked on them. This black cap that TC bros and others sell does not have it marked. You can use a multimeter and find microfarad. I don't have a cap on hand or I'd tell ya. At first I was really big into caps but after only lasting a year or two, I went back to sla batteries and antigravity batteries. If your bike shakes a lot, I'd consider a different route.

Thanks Ray. can i ask what the smallest battery you have used is?. The PMA puts out 50 w so running LED lights shouldnt be an issue.

TTT,
On my RD350, with a Powerdynamo PMA/ CDI system, I use a Super B 2600 LiPoFe battery. Guess it is 2.6 Ah, weighs 450 g/ 1 lb, and is the size of maybe 2 packs of long 100 cigarettes. I have 3 LiPoFe batteries in my bikes. No lead acid for me anymore. If you go the same route, make sure you have a good regulator.

Sounds like a good way to go! I know the single .8 ah you turn the key or switch and better go right away. Dont piss around. It'll die quick. Works tho. Also at idle/stop lights there is some dimming. This was with filament bulbs. I like your setup.

Make sure you have a shunt style reg/rec. So it doesn't get to much charging voltage. You'll smoke that battery.
I wish i had known tbis before i ordered I was stoked today when the antigravity arrived. Quality compact product. BUT I sent a message this afternoon and the re reg rec does not support lithium batteries.

. DAMM,! Looks like I'm back to a capacitor

Again sorry for the delay. Yes, shunt means excessive voltage sent alternate path. Overcharging fries these lithium batteries. I will try to find what I bought.https://ricksmotorsportelectrics.com/blog/lithium-ion-friendly-rectifierregulator/ If you scroll down you’ll see the compatible part number for the XS. I only paid $50 for mine. This guy is expensive. Do your research and maybe ask gggGary on here. He will know.

Antigravity batteries come with a lot of foam for a reason. Make sure you pad it in well. Read the directions that come with the battery. Check your voltage on an old battery with the bike running to make sure the reg/rec isn’t sending to much voltage.
