So around 2 years or more ago I picked up some bub. Pipes. Hmm never took them out of the box untill today and this is what I found.. no seams fully welded but not the duel I thought I bought. Anyone chime in and tell me what they mite be. Chrome is beautiful.

I found them on the web a guy had them new in the box said they were bub pipes.never gave it a second thought. But I thought they were a left and right 2 into 2 because iv never seen a set like this made by bub for the xs650. Here is a set for HD that look just like them. They could be a very rare bird I'm not sure. They were new in the box so they must have sat for along time. I also know that Bubs were sold under the rinehart name also

I seen a set like that ( for HD ) on the Bub display at a trade show a long time ago. I ordered a set directly
from Bub for big $$$$$ and after a long time they delivered. I took the pipes to the USA maker of Yosh
exhaust with the hope that they would reproduce them ( the mufflers ) at a reasonable cost ( a run of 500 Sets ) . I just
loved the end design but as soon as the maker seen them he said no way. The end of the cones were
a special stamping and was too hard to fab. Bub was involved with HD and the land speed record biz for a few years
and the promotions for that was big money for them for a long time.
Does anyone know what happened to them or where they are now ?
Even back in the Minton mod days their product was loud, well made, scarce and
expensive but worked well.

Those are BuB Conti(Ducati) short version mufflers and you scored big time. They sound GREAT and would sound really good on a rephase. Bub manufactured the Conti for BMW,Guzzie and Ducati, wish I had purchased a set for my R90/S now.
This image of mufflers are the Ducati Conti not Bub

Well this is them and not what I thought I paid for and really didn't know they ever made the 1/2 mile pipes. By I'm very pleased with them. 525 bucks in 2012.
