Wow, what a nice little bike! There are a lot of collectors who would buy that and just display it , as is. Man, I’d throw that thing together and ride the wheels off it! :D

It's too bad it's not a XJ650RJ Seca......Yamaha had lots of left overs during this time. A friend asked me about my '82 650 Seca in 1986 because a Yamaha dealer had a few in crates for sale. He bought one I think for what I paid in 1982 (dealer + 10%).

Not really surprised it went so high, well maybe just a bit, US prices !!!! but then someone from overseas could have bought it.........it is the right year to be a classic

same guy has 2 89 XV250's in the same crate.........seems a bit sus the bit goes straight to 7,000 from 500.........would/could the owner do that???

So, if you bought that in 1982, for maybe $1600, assuming you were a dealer, then stored it in a climate controlled environment for 38 years, you made less than $158 per year on the investment. That’s certainly a lot more than what any bank would have paid in interest on that $1600.

Don't forget the space it takes up, and freight each time you shift house and the wife............."what do you want to carry that around for.....its still in the crate get rid of it"........lol

Your absolutely right.:wink2: I did however google Suzuki GS450 images and these things are really neat. Well sorta neat?.
