FB Marketplace is overflowing with XS650's in my area. They all become a blurr....
Then I stumbled on this go-Kart.
No, I'm not going to buy it.
Here is the presentation:

Seller's Description:
i am interested in TRADES, i'm not wanting to sell this for cash outright at the moment. however, if someone makes me an offer i simply cannot refuse, i would let it go. that amount is not 100 dollars. yes it works, no i will not send you videos, i don't care if you think it works, no you cannot test drive it, sold as-is for obvious reasons. this is not a kids toy. i am not in a hurry to get rid of it. i'm more than happy to keep it in my garage. i can't quote you a top speed, asking me 'how fast is this' and you will get a very subjective answer. it's as fast as your nerve will allow you to continue accelerating in a jet powered go kart. it's dangerous. if you strike me as someone who seems indifferent to the gravity of ownership, i won't let you have it. no video games, no 4 wheelers, no dirt bikes, no paintball guns, no vtec honda parts, no xbox, please do not offer me a real dog?! possible trades for the following:

vintage high-end microphones and preamps and other studio equipment is my TOP PRIORITY as far as trades go. (neve, neumann, telefunken, ampex, UA, urei, etc...) 60's-70's 2 door convertible rwd manual project cars. sunbeam alpine, MG midget or mga, austin healey sprite, triumph TR, maybe a clean pinto wagon? (there's a 454 big block swap kit for the pinto available) guitars (vintage usa fender or gibson, rickenbacker 4003 or 12 string, no acoustics) amps (marshall, hiwatt, ampeg, fender, vox, other vintage tube) drums (good ones) snap-on hand tools Rokon Trailbreaker Yamaha FZR400 Yamaha or Kawasaki 2 stroke motorcycles, or similar (RD350, RD400, RZ350) also consider Ducati or Norton stuff.

machine shop tooling (starrett, browne and sharpe, mitutoyo) steel italian bicycles or Campagnolo components american handbuilt bicycles from the following makers would be in consideration. fat chance, merlin, moots, indy fab, waterford, schwinn, ritchey, richard sachs, JP weigle, Fuso, Spectrum. Pegoretti. Rivendell. etc... Mcintosh or Dyna or similar HiFi equipment rolex or patek or omega timepieces pizza shop infrastructure (oven, cooler, mixer) gold (yes) (if you actually really seriously want a cash price, and you're paying attention, my cash price is ??? yes. that much.)

a race kart plus cash from your end. other weird, wild stuff. if i'm gonna consider the trade it's gotta be commensurately special. that's about it, if you have a hot air balloon we could talk.

Hahaha oh man. I guess I'm not surprised the guy who would have that go-kart would also have such a varied array of other interests. I love hot air balloon and "pizza shop infrastructure":laugh::laugh::laugh:

Man! That guy has a lot goin on in his head! C’mon Jeff, you gotta buy that thing! I bet you could jump the Snake River Canyon in that cart. :laugh2: Evel Knievel Dude!

That's a good deal (IMO). Beautiful bike, however,I need an E-start model.. What kind of problems are you having these days Jim? Sounds very serious. I wish you well in your recovery.

Thanks Tom. Mortons Neuroma surgery. Most likely ended the season for me.
Yeah... forgot the 73 didn't have electric start. Still.... 10k for an unmolested one... I think that's pretty good deal too.

Jim, how was that surgery? I’m contemplating having it myself. Did you do both feet?

Just the left foot. I'll see how that works out before I do the other. They put you under, so it's not near as bad as those damn shots. :yikes:
Anything I told you beyond that would just be the hydrocodone talkin'... I'll let you know in a few weeks.

I had a '73 Norton Commando Roadster. Black. Man, what a ride! The feel on that front disc brake was "wooden". Rear drum was decent. What a torque machine. I couldn't ride it enough. Midnight runs to Green Valley on I-19 after work on a summer night just because.
