Think'n about.....

Poor factory seats are nothing new, even on high end bikes. The motorcycle mags used to refer to them as weapons of ass destruction! :laugh2: When I bought my Suzuki V-Strom I don’t think the bike had even cooled down from the first ride home before I ordered a replacement seat from Seargent! Which absolutely transformed the bike by the way.

And here it is!

My XS1100 has had a Sargent seat on it for over 15 years. I don't expect them to get on board with RE as they don't offer seats for Triumph Bonneville.

The need for an Interceptor replacement seat is known. A google search showed quite a few options.

OK KIddies..... I pick'd up the Interceptor.. and here's my first impressions.
Steering..light and quick... brakes fore and aft.. excellent... throttle response great.. I chugged it down in low and in high gear and it pulled away very nicely. Didn't do any twisty's ... but based on city streets and traffic circles.. it handles very well.... the exhaust is... perfect... I've seen a few with the S&S pipes.. nice.. but they bark too much for me.
Tranny shifts are smooth..... and I have to remind myself.. it's six... The seat.... we may have issues on long trips... but I usually have a jell pack and sheep skin.... I'll have to do a long Saturday rip and see how the gluteus maximus handles it... rear shocks hard harsh.. I'll work on adjustments.....
Over all..... I'm very pleased with the bike....

..almost forgot..... I had my 71' Moto Guzzi Ambo sitting on the show room floor for sale... dang.. told the shop owner... Not for sale.. I'll take it home.. I like it's farm tractor two wheel charm.... Guzzi.JPG

Hey.... is that Iowa VJMC going to happen..? Not " bugged " out.... it's near Baxter Cycle and their famous sticker shock room. I droned pass there a couple weeks ago do'n a road trip to Longmont, Co to drop off a nice Tx750 … but shop wasn't open as I droned on ( 13.5 hrs one way.... non stop.... repeat for return …. ugh ) I'm up for the Iowa gig... may take out my XS P... haven't even started itView attachment 171051 View attachment 171052 this year.. think it has 50 miles on it.
I'll get back to the RE dealer.. take photos.. dug out my old Bagman tank and saddle bags.. they haven
t seen daylight in years.
Do you have any photos of the TX750. Thanks.

I mess with seats too but this coddles my bony tush anytime I'm going out for more than a half hour or so. Even on the luxo barge Venture.

Kind of a home brew it was a gel pad inside the sheepskin but now has a slightly inflated neck pillow inside. I was not impressed with the gel.

Sorry.. after I delivered the Tx750 to the guy in Colorado.... I deleted all the photos I had. It was a very ..very nice Tx... sold it ..$4500.oo..plus $500.oo for shipping... ( I almost broke even on that part ).... The engine was.. surprise.. locked up.. as most 73' ate themselves.... I scored a free 74' engine ..... so we did a engine swap....... Bike ran great.. very smooth.

Yo.. Mark had it for awhile.... same fellow that bought it has purchased other bikes from us.
Update on my Interceptor.. still fun fun fun...... but.. seat has been ordered.... stock seat is fine for local rips.. " butt " not so for longer then a weekend ... :)
