For Sale - 1978 XS650 Special

I'm taking a break from riding for a while and I need the space. I am putting all 3 of my bikes up for sale, including my 1978 Special. I've owned this bike for 10 years and have done a lot to it over time. Bike comes with an extra engine on a stand. Engine in the bike is 100% overhauled (The cam chain was timed by Grizld1 in person at my house). New brass swingarm bushings, new tires, new sprocket and chain, new fork seals, etc. She has been in storage so she needs a new battery and it wouldn't hurt to pull the carbs and give them a good cleaning before firing up.

The other 2 bikes (1976 GL1000 Naked Goldwing, and 1984 XLH1000 Sportster) are available as well. Those bikes have been gone through meticulously and are ready to ride. Make me an offer for a package deal? I wanted to get the XS on here first before listing on the local CL or FB Marketplace.

I'd let the entire lot go for $5,000 just to not have to deal with all the no shows and tire kickers I had this past weekend. I can explain my entire mechanical history resurrecting all 3 bikes as well as service manuals and a bunch of spare parts.

I got tired of worrying about selling a bike that I had winterized so this evening I drained the stabilized fuel, poured in fresh, put the shot battery back in and hooked it up to my booster, gave her a few kicks, hit the starter, and she fired right up. It's comforting to know that I had her properly winterized. I also feel good selling a good, running bike.
