Fitted some rubber Knee pads from the UK to my RE Interceptor however, no matter how much I clean the buggers, I keep getting black marks on my jeans every time.

Please any ideas as the Leader of The Opposition is getting somewhat pissed of with doing the washing,

I have searched and searched using Google but have found nothing about preventing rubber marks. I have asked other bikers and they have not encountered the issue or heard of it. Is it because good gripping rubber is softer so rubs off easily? Perhaps there is a Silicone equivalent that will not mark?? I shall keep inquiring.

Rubber is a wonderful product when manufactured by knowledgeable chemists, sounds like what you have is not properly vulcanized or if made of some two part silicone, was not mixed in the proper ratio, ie not enough catalyst (that's the expensive part), not mixed thoroughly, or wasn't fully cured. They may have been made from less expensive single part silicone. I'd be getting ahold of the maker for redress. Hot and humid MIGHT finish the curing if it's silicone. Some background on silicone. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Silicone
Liberal and repeated coating with mineral oil may stave off the shedding and change the pants stains to oil spots. :smoke: Wear black jeans?

Maybe Email Motone to see if they have a solution? There price certainly suggests top quality.

Hi GeeDub,
If you are too stingy to buy black jeans you'd better learn to do your own laundry.
Or, don't they make Philips Stickasoles any more?
