Other than being toodamnhot, today is ideal. Little breeze, few puffy clouds, nothing in particular on the schedule.

Perfect day for a ride, right? Can't be bothered.:yikes:

Dug out the Maine Atlas (DeLorme) and looked for a road I haven't ridden to death. Nothing that's not an hour plus away just to get to new(ish) territory. No place I want to go to see or do something, tired of riding the same old roads all the time. If it was cooler, maybe, but the thought of getting all geared up and slogging for an hour to MAYBE find an interesting road tires me out just thinking about it.

Easier to sit here in my computer chair in front of the fan and bitch about it.

This ain't right.

You're not alone if that helps..i avoid heat of the day riding..Early mornings are the best. We have been 90*+ for the past 2 weeks and at least the next 10 days as well...plus its a sauna bath out there...so it is not very enjoyable at all....I'm looking forward to early Fall...and our winters here are fairly mild...
Hang in there...

I feel your pain DE. I’ve explored every road within 50 mile radius of my house. To get to unexplored territory now requires a real commitment in time and distance and it’s just too damn hot. I caught a break here a couple days ago when a storm from blew in some cool temps, but 24 hours later it went right back up.
Interest in riding comes and goes, some days I just go out to my garage and get lost in little projects.

Shoot. I've been known to go to the bikeport and crank up the SG just to hear her idle and gently roll some throttle on. Only during the day.
Shut her down after a couple minutes or less. Yup, it's just too blasted HOT!.

I missed my planned day of test riding the Triumph Scrambler and Indian FTR yesterday due to prolonged maintenance on my new-to-me Stratoliner. I thought I would change the oil early morning (30 minutes tops so I thought). I had to go back to the AutoZone because the filter they sold me did not fit. I took the old one in and we found the correct match. Then like the dummy I am, I spilled the oil pan while transferring to the recycle container. It took me a while to clean that up satisfactorily. In all, it took me 3 hours and I was soaked in sweat. I would not make it to the demo ride until the last hour and if it goes as normal, all the slots would be taken so I went inside and cooled off.
