Hi All
So I cleaned my carbs and thank s to Mcmacmac got everything reassembled. Sort of. Checking things and the choke pulls to choked but doesn’t snap back. WTF?
I sprayed it of course in situ but still sticks
I guess I can ride like that but is this some newb carb cleaning error?
Peace
John

There are springs that go on the enricher (choke) plungers. They are installed when you reinstall the enrichers after cleaning and you can't see them once you reassemble the carbs. Could you have left them out?
A way to check is to loosen the pointy JIS (Phillips) screws on the choke rod, then pull on the enricher that you can get to. See if it snaps back after you pull it out. If it does, you have a spring.

The enricher is pretty easy to remove once you take the pull rod out. Just beware there is a tiny ball and spring behind it that is easily lost when you pull it out.

Were the carbs off the angle iron bracket when you cleaned them? BS34 chokes don't really "spring back in" you do need to push them back to off.
