Is anyone else interested in this. I find it so interesting. Some of the structures built in South America is what started convincing me. Tiwanaku and Machu Picchu, to name a couole. Just the unexplainable happenings in the world. I'm watching a show on history channel all about the theory. Things described with words they had, like a metallic Dragon or a whale with bronze ribs, there was no technology to say things like spaceship or alien.
The one thing that gives me doubt are the distances, the nearest star system is something like over 4 light years away and allot of stars are thousands and tens of thousands of light years away. We could be seeing light from a star that burned out ten thousand years ago.

As I read this I'm watching (sorta) Ancient Aliens on The History Channel. I think there is soo much proof around us for it to be false. As for the distance dilemma, worm holes and "warp speeds".

I watch Ancient Aliens. Some of the conclusions are crap, but the program lets you know of the many interesting things in our prehistory that exist all over the world and they do make you think "Ancient Aliens" might just be real.

I do not think Central and South America offers much because all the sites seem to be built over by more modern people, consequently these site's secrets have been destroyed by modern interpretation. The real interesting stuff, if it exists, probably lies in their foundations and those perfect fitting rocks, drill holes and right angle cuts e.g. see Pumapunku. Also, no one is prepared to say aliens visited the earth and helped man develop because of the stigma attached. But like racism, the barriers are slowly coming down. For example the US Navy released those two videos and they are just the tip of the iceberg.

I think some of the great discoveries will come out of North America. There are many ancient sites known in the US but no one dares speak about them. Egypt is central to the alien theme but is ruled by the Archaeologist and they are very stuck in their ways and not at all receptive to new interpretation.

On "Ancient Aliens" they speak of how technically advanced the Aliens must be, yet they still portray their craft having rocket engines, bit of a contradiction but makes me laugh each time. Also, most people accept that there must be other intelligent life in the Universe, but mention you saw an Alien and you are the laughing stock.

Are we alone in the Universe? The probability of life is so low we might just be. Then again the Universe is so large we just might not be. My heads hurting now...

I too watch those shows, mostly when nothing else is of interest.

I sometimes can not understand how some of the ancient ruins could have been built with the technology we think they had to work with.

I mean they have been working for close to a year erecting a set of signal lights at an intersection a couple mile down the road! They finally got the posts and arms installed and all the lights hung but they are still covered in black garbage bags! If who ever built some of those structures had these people doing the job they would only be stacking the second course of blocks on the first pyramid today!

I know some of the stone used in those ruins are probably a bit softer than the limestone at the quarry where I worked for over 50 years. But with all the modern equipment we had at our disposal I don't think we moved enough stone to build those pyramids in Egypt and we didn't care if they came out in nice neat squares and triangle pieces that fit together nice tight.

Ok so they had bigger work crews and maybe a different incentive program for the workers! But if you had say one thousand people working you would have to feed them and give them water if you expected them to be able to work the next day. So who did that job and where did they source the food? I'm sure the climate might have been different in that area during the time but even if the food grew like crazy there was someone who had to move it from where it grew and made it for someone to eat.

Or maybe they had a Taco truck come by twice a day for meals?

My best evidence for highly intelligent life being out there is we have not seen them yet! Do you really think an advanced civilization would want to drop by and say Howdy Neighbor! to what we have right now on the rock floating in space?

I have a feeling that this place we call Earth is some kids science project and sorry to say I think he is heading for an"F" in "Planet Construction 101"!

I like the saying that goes "If time travel is possible then where are all the time travellers".
Perhaps the UFOs/Aliens are the time travellers??

Funny world with loads of interesting things past and present.

Well that first part fits with my theory! I mean why if someone had the means to time travel would they even think of visiting us now days?

Ok other than the chance to get hold of a great motorcycle like an XS650?

Hummm, wonder how many 650's have been reported as "stolen", could it be that they were just "abducted" by those time travelers? If that is the case Mailman and a few others here better watch out, mine on the other hand will probably be safe unless there are time travelers into rat bikes!

I hope they are not doing surgery or component snatching! Perhaps the XS650 is the DeLorean of the future?

Lets say my plane crashed in the middle of some mountains at night. I get out and look around. All around me is dark except a small light on the east side of a mountain. Which way would you head to start walking out? Voyager's radio power is about 5 watts but out in interstellar space now, that 5 watts shines like a beacon. Lets say that radio signals have been leaving this planet for the last 120 years, just to have a nice round number. At 6 trillion miles a year, that signal/light is only 120 light years from home. Being just our galaxy alone is 100,000 LY across, our light is not even half way down the local block. We are dark. A space faring civilization would have to accidently trip over us. Given the vastness of the universe, extremely unlikely. Travel near the speed of light for any amount of time and the home you knew and everybody you knew, is long gone. A few hardy souls may still want to take the trip. And say given the same periodic elements, they would have to had to make developments far in advance of ours, but make the developments from the same "bang" of the gun, so to speak with the same basic materials to work from. Ok, so some tecno geek somewhere built a machine that can pass through shells of time. Unlikely, but he would still have to know where to point it. He can't see us. But he had a bad day, said, hell with this, jumped in and punched it. He got lucky and tripped over us. He's got his foot in the ant hill now. Not that interesting to hold his attention for long. But he decides to stack up a pile of rocks as evidence of his passing. While he's at it, put some cuts in the rock, a right angle here and there just to baffle em'. Just might give the ants something to think about while there climbing the evolutionary ladder to the stars. Might be his brother decides to jump into prototype number two and come looking. Here's a better idea. Why not leave something like Superman's Crystal Palace and really blow the ant's grey matter? I mean, you know, something that says "killroy was here"! Nah...pile of rocks.
This might be :bs:. I been wrong before. People get abducted and violated all the time and live to come back and tell everybody in the bar about it. Everybody knows the Airforce has been covering it up for years. They even wrote a Blue Book about it in the 60's. They got alien bodies in deep freeze and people see fast moving lights in the sky all the time! It's got to be aliens what done it!

The ancient aliens thing is fun, but a lot of the best arguments for it are falling by the wayside as archeologists understand more about out past. Once upon a time it was thought that peoples 2000 years ago were basically stationary, but we're now finding that to not be the case. It's been found there were intercontinental trade routes even thousands of years into history so the wide spread of ideas isn't as unexpected as it was 40 years ago.

I've long been of the opinion that the chances of us being alone in the universe are pretty much nonexistent, space is just too big. The chances of us being contacted by intelligent extra terrestrial life are equally low though because space is just too big.

Thuban and NashGTI, but what if it were the Aliens on a terraforming mission who put us here to start with? Changes everything...

You can get into some really crazy questions when you talk about "What if" questions that can't be answered. My personal favorite is are we actually living or just a computer simulation? It's thought provoking to question what if life on this planet was seeded by some alien intelligence, but it isn't something that can ever be proven or disproven.

Well if we are just part of some computer simulation I hope whatever teenage is running this program decides to reboot soon! But then if what we "think" happened in history was not enough proof reboot time was needed I'm guessing these last few years won't trigger that response.

Or maybe the computer we are running on is stuck down in the cushion of the couch with dog hare and half eaten cookies, wonder what the battery life is on this computer?

Well if they are here or come back, or we find a hall of records, possibly under the paw of the sphinx, that's another thing, Edgar Casey,..
I've been saying for years we all have that mind over matter, esp, sixth sense potential but kids today being born are WAY more clairvoyant, and they are...reading blindfolded, seeing around obstacles blindfolded,....
I'm ranting but I love thinking about crazy shit.
