1979 650 yamaha ignition.

Got a website to view?

no website as yet....... i just today bought a used 1979 points engine .....cylinder head...... i plan to fill it with machinist wax and get all the measurements of the intake & exhaust ports.
then to the rest of the engine, it is these measurements that one uses to construct & machine a new engine with..... one that uses points.

the application of this engine for use in many vehicles...... snow mobiles, jet skis, go carts, new custom moto-cycles.....etc.

with steel "not" aluminum crankshaft mains & steel cam journals.....these engines will last forever.

the actual 650 crankshaft is a simple part to build..... only these "NEW" engine will have splined cranks that take 2 minutes to assemble, no more guesswork in crank assemblys....... f339263804bd79a2965153e8047b61a3.jpg aa8cd34486065ad287832248aa94ca0f.jpg

much like you see here in the photographs...... the transmission is removed on the new engine with the new crank case.....in aluminum or magnesium..... a small case for a sprocket or a comet belt drive clutch attach.

the fins sizes of the original xs650 cylinder & head, are double size & there are plans for a water cooled application..... again a simple thing to do.

what really makes this a great deal is that the crank is all splines..... it can be re-phased at will.....and is strong enough to make the engine a 750-850-1100, twin.
the crank will have dual bearings on each side of the crank & along with "STEEL" crank journals that bolt up to the engine cases..... not cheep cast crank journals that if you look cross eyed at them they fail......... these new parts are to be well built and sold by the millions...... for a el-cheepo price !

even though the crank case is light...... it is Heavy Duty & engine mounts will be extra stout .

i am a white man from the dutch republic of the netherlands..... raised in america...... since 1956.

look for up-dates.
