i thought I would put this here just in case.
Replacement carb floats from a Mycarb, Indian copy of a Mikuni fitted to Indian built Royal Enfield.
At the price I thought I’d take a risk, so I ordered a pair and tried them in some Mikuni carbs I am working on and they fit.

BS34's or BS38's?

MIKUNI CARB BS32/12 FLOAT OEM# 256-14985-00-00

There is a long list of carburetors that these floats are correct for, but included are XS-1 through XS650F. The price for made in Japan floats might be tough to beat. Sirius is a vendor I've had good luck with.
The OP float listing probably fits BS38.....Maybe.

Call me an ignoramus, but I’m not sure, the carbs I’m working on are from a Kawasaki KZ750 twin. Very similar to XS 650, the ones with the jets in the float bowl. The only difference I can see is the tangs on the cross piece are opposite way round.

This article says they're 38's.

These guys sell them. They look to be a different shape to The RE floats.............2M did a write up on some cruzinimage floats for the XS650, a few years ago, and there were some problems with the manufacturing of the bar between the floats not being soldered on square. Could have been a bad batch, who knows

I have fitted Cruzinimage floats in anXS500 I did recently, although not as accurate as Mikuni they worked fine.
Just to mention, good service from them.

I have recently used floats from Cruzinimage on an XS500 I did for a friend. I had no problems with them fitting and they worked fine. Although they weren’t as accurate in appearance as OEM floats.
Then I spotted the Indian ones, seller was in UK and he offered a discount if you purchased multiple items.
This last few days I had a KAWASAKI KZ750 in for some work while I had the carbs off I tried the floats in they fitted fine. The only difference I could see is the tangs on the crossbar are the other way round.
I will measure them up and post some detailed pictures, maybe tomorrow.

As promised.
All measurements are approx as my eyes aren’t too good.

Thanx Rasputin.
But what I really wanted was the eBay listing pics, with the caliper in the pic, as shown in this snippet of your posting pic.

Anyway, took a snippet of your latest pic, showing your measurements.

This float looks better than the CruzinImage floats I reworked. The float cells are a bit wider, and the crossbar attachment looks to be straight.

For reference, here's the dims of my original 1971 OEM Mikuni BS-38 floats.

And, the OEM float fitted into the carb body.
Notice the clearances to the outer bowl walls and center jet block.

I looked up the RE 141970 floats on a Royal Enfield site, and found their reported outer width dimension to be 2.25" (57mm).

There's other float offerings out there, like this 2FastMoto, made in Taiwan.

Then there's the Boats.net offering, showing a 2.5" (63mm) width.

What I'm seeing here is a disturbing intermix of XS650, KZ750, RE-350 (and maybe others) floats out there in the aftermarket.

Although they may physically fit into the float chamber, they'll have different bowl clearances and flotation.

For anyone pursuing this "alternative" route, I'd strongly recommend:
- Checking clearances to the bowl sides and center jet block.
(At least 1.5mm clearances)
- Set float/fuel level using the "clear tube method".
- Be alert to unusually *rich* conditions.
- Ensure that the final position/angle of the float valve 'tang' is perpendicular to the valve pin.

Be careful out there. The market is awash with bogus stuff.

Like tire pressure gauges that are off by 10psi.
I know, I have 2 of them.

Or digital multimeters that are off by 2 volts.
I know, I have one of them.

Or counterfeit spark plugs.
I know, I have one of those, too...

Here are the photo dimensions from their listing.

Thanx Rasputin.
Those floats definitely look better than my CruzinImage floats.
The float cells are larger, just slightly less than the OEM Mikuni floats.
Recommend adding maybe 1-2mm to the float height settings as a starting point.
Then double-check using the "clear tube method"...
