Well, I knew it was bound to happen eventually, and it finally did - the rotor on my trusty '78 gave up the ghost, lol. I can't complain really. As far as I know, it was the original so it was 20+ years old already when I got the bike in the early 2000s. It then went on to serve me reliably for another 15 years or so.

So, Jim was kind enough to send me one he had on hand before even getting my old one. It looks terrific and ohms out very nicely in the high 4's. I had a spare to swap in and will continue to use it for a while anyway, but being 40+ years old too, who knows how long it'll be good for. No big deal because I now have a good-as-new spare to swap in if need be. Thanks Jim.

Should have posted here to begin with. Received another perfectly rebuilt rotor from Jim today. Anyone thinking of freshening up your charging system would be letting yourself down by not getting a rotor from Jim. Don't buy from anywhere else! Good for another 45.672 years.

Hey, thought of you. I have a stator and rotor you can have if you pay the shipping. It's a TCI setup. Off a late 81' motor if that matters.
Absolutely!! PM me your paypal address.

Hi jim.
I need a stock rotor for a 75 points system. We spoke a few months ago and you said youd ship one of yours without my core. Is your $99 still in effect?
Christmas Special. $99 Shipped.
Free shipping applies to the US only.
$25 core charge still applies.
This is a TCI rotor. Will fit any year XS650.

... and since I lit it on fire yesterday, it's well north of 1000° now. Better hurry. :sneaky:

Also you were $110 a few months ago with no core. Are you still at that?
No, never was. Rewind is $105. Core charge is $25. Shipping is $8.40. Total is $138.40 to your door. You send me a rebuildable core and you get $25 back.

I ordered a rotor from @Jim and was very pleased with the product! It looks brand-new and tested perfectly. Not to mention, I always rather give my hard-earned dollars to an individual as opposed to some faceless company. Thanks, Jim!
