The key to any welding is practice. Don't practice on the good stuff. I struggle with my MIG because I use it infrequently. There was a time I TIGed stainless on a daily basis. Now I would have to practice in order to carry an arc with a TIG.TIG is hard.
That’s a great hack. ThxReplaced the battery I swiped from Madness to get Zall down the road. Then took Madness out to clear her pipes. Good thing I had noticed the county boy sitting off the road a bit earlier while in the car.
You may have seen this before but it works pretty slick, clip a couple angled pieces off the overflow tube for a nut holder.

Need to get used to pushing it up on the stand. Need to be careful not to tip it too far away from me when bringing the back tire up the ramp. Practice I guess. Will also need to bolt the front chock to the platform.Yeah that would be a real back saver! Looks nice!
CaseyH, What kinda Honda you got hid back there?Nice lift
I went old school and built one.
I have spent to much time laying on the floor beside motorcycles
That and an old 1 ton chain fall.
I love the look of this old bike.

Working full time does that! But, if I had that many bikes, I wouldn't know where to start. You should give one to me. Yuk, yuk, yuk!Hey @Machine, I wish you could come here and kick my a$$ into gear on these projects! Tomorrow, I start on garage reorganization. I can’t see the forest through the trees. Four XS650s and three XS1100s and only one bike running. I envy those of you getting it done and I want to be more like you. In my defense, I have been very busy doing what my employer pays me to do. Lucky me!
I rode my bike today, that's what I did. I took off the skeeter net, pulled off the cover and rolled her back and onto the center stand. I turned on the gas hit the choke and it lit on the third kick. Flicked off the choke and held the throttle about 1500 for warm up. I worked the clutch a couple of times cause I hate the hard CLUNK as it goes in gear. Ok, "CLUNK" and it died. Had my foot on the brake to keep the wheel from spinning. I kick it.. it sputters. kick it some more, and some more. Nothing. Ok, I'll come back in a minute and goes to get my jacket, helmet and nose pickers. I walk back out. and instantly I see the problem. Gas is OFF! Somebody put the bike away with the gas on! Then somebody rolled the bike back turned off the gas and fired it up! Then were wondering why it won't go! Turned on the gas and waited a few seconds and it fired right up. 40 mile round robin and it was a perfect ride! But why does it only happen to me?
1974 CB750 another project
