Hi all

How the hell do you remove the drive cable from the tachometer? for the life of me I cant figure it out. I thought it would just slide out.

Yes, once you unscrew the outer cable, the inner should just pull free. If it's stuck a little penetrating oil and a day to soak might help.
 
Careful you don't rest it upside down. I suppose there's a chance the p. oil could find it's way down to the glass. :yikes:

If it's real bad, there's how-to's here on disassembling them for repairs. I suppose a soaked glass constitutes a repair. How bad is it?
 
The cables tend to bite into the holes they slip into. Using needle noses to turn it the opposite way while lightly pulling has always popped it out for me. What's your reason for needing it out though?
