Got the cover ready to polish. Doesn`t look that bad but it`ll look even greater all polished up and on eBait.

I got the frame back from my friend Jerry all welded up so today it was either rake leaves, pick up sticks and limbs, burn the brush pile, or make beauty-ugly plates. Plates won the toss. The plates are just roughed in for now. I`ll polish everything at once so I only have to clean up one mess. Next are foot peg/MC mounts and under seat electronics tray and figure out some kind of exhaust.:umm:

I took the frame to my friend Jerry and had him weld what I tacked together. Had to put this up on it`s wheels to see how I was going to change my mind. I did.:shootme: I`m on the fence about several things but at least everything align`s and nothing warped in the process. Brat Tracker??:umm: Probably not. Any input or suggestions?

Nice! Is that a Storz alloy tank?

Today I knocked out these folding foot pegs. They will get polished and fitted with Bates grips. This is what happens when you have no vertical mill and too much time on your hands. Final score; Phil 1- yard work 0.

Today I roughed in the LH foot peg mount. Easy because the pattern is the same as my 1st tracker. RH will be a little different because I haven`t decided which MC I`m going to use. I also put the leaf bagger on the ole JD today.

The mower-bagger deck belt broke yesterday :D and will be Mon. until I can get one, So I got the RH brake/peg mount made today. It took a while but everything lines up and the start lever has plenty of clearance. I`m going to polish these tomorrow just to see what they look like. Who knows, I might actually like these without changing my mind. Or not.

On a side note yesterday I was 73. Glenda saw me with the flat mounting plate and said "What did you do? make a Hip Replacement?":shootme:

That's one thing some people seem to forget. Anything you can make on CNC you can make on manual machines, but if you are willing to put in the time you can do it with files and drill press. If needed you could even get by without a drill press or drill. It's a matter of time and effort. Machines just save time.

Between here and dotheton I have seen some impressive work done with hand tools. Halfmile always seems to have a nice build.

Well so much for polishing everything all at once. Polished the brake stay with black compound for now. T-6 aluminium requires a lot more prep to polish. Braided line`s and banjo fitting will get here tomorrow and that should wrap up the brakes front & rear.
