Best way to check tree is put on top triple, slide fork tubes up. BOTH should go freely into the top triple holes, if the lower triple is bent the second tube won't want to slide in.

I've added the fender, made my own style. This is my view from above.

Update.
Sunday. A really nice day for a walk or at least that's what she thought.
I have been thrown and my efforts were in vain to make it work.

-battery charge ✓
-spark ✓

I had to tow about 4 km up and down with the strength of my legs, I am very tired, but at least I was able to leave it in a safe place.

Oh man, I feel your pain. There’s nothing worse than having your bike leave you stranded. Good luck with your repairs.

Well, I have bought new points however, how expected the Chinese things were of terrible quality, I spent two days trying to set those points. Hard lesson and waste of money.

I think I will have to work overtime and sell some things, will it be a good idea to switch to electronic ignition? any tips for this newbie?

Si mal no recuerdo, ya tienes un estator y un rotor TCI. Mire y vea si puede encontrar una caja de electrónica TCI.

Unfortunately i did a tci pickup swap for front hub, but ... I think I'll try to get that coil pickup again and do the Gonzo TCI switch.

I have seen several posts about electronic ignitions. I still do not know if I will opt for a Trytonic system unit or a boyer system, clearly the first option would be cheaper. Besides that Mikexs does not give me a good thorn for all his comments.

I think I found a pickup for the Gonzo conversion, however I am concerned about my timing marks.
This photo shows my tdc mark and the position of the magnet.

Here's the brand name, but it doesn't match tdc.

Ese rotor está sincronizado correctamente, pero el anillo está demasiado masticado para ser utilizable.
El orificio de recogida en el estator está roto.

¿Ha considerado este sistema de MikesXS? A la larga, podría ser la alternativa más económica.

Yes, I had been considering it, but ... the cost of shipping to my country is close to 40 dollars. The pickup I will get will cost me around $ 8 and I think I can get a reasonably priced mp08 coil from a local motorcycle repair shop (I hope so).

I would like to have more budget for my Xs, a Vape would be my option if I had the opportunity.

I liked the point system, my friends are a little younger than me and I liked to brag that I had an old system working, and one that someone older than me gave me credit for using them. It felt some personal satisfaction.
Although I knew that at some point it was going to give me problems.

Or get a set of OEM points perhaps.
Concerning the points. Yamaha didn't make them. They bought them off the shelf from a company like Denso or someone like them. These had to be used on something else beside's the 650. They look similar to points I've seen on 70's Japanese cars.
