Hey guys, I'm at work right now looking up parts and don't have the ability to measure, but i have read a bunch about people switching over to a single SS brake line for the front instead of the 2 piece. I just put 15" apes on my hardtail and i was going to go ahead and order a new line and possibly a new master cyl for it as well. Has anyone done this on theirs and happen to know a good place to get a line, or even both master cyl upgrade and a SS line? Also anyone know the length of line ill be needing. I wont be able to measure the length myself for a couple days and wanna get some stuff on order... Much thanks yall. Keep the rubber down!!!

Spooge...,

I think no one has posted an answer because you have not provided enough information.

1. You will have to take a measurement for the hose.
2. Use a length of gas line to route where you want the brake line to be.
3. Measure with the forks fully extended.
4. When ordering the brake line, the length is from the center of one banjo to the center of the other.
5. A good source of high quality stainless steel brake lines is available from www.spieglerusa.com .
6. Be long, not short when measuring / ordering. You can always put an extra curve in the route if the line is a bit long, but there is no cure for a short line.

But what if one end has the fitting for a metal brake line I have a 75 so it's a 2 piece brake line

Easy, just measure from the end of the steel line up to the M/C.
Leo
Center of the banjo end ?
I just don't know how Apex Brakes measures there's if I'm just measuring the actual line itself for them and not include the fittings In the length
Just don't want it too short
I'll have to call them
Thanks

I have an extra Apex line at home. I can measure it for you tonight. I am pretty sure they measure end to end though.

What bars are you running?

As far as I know stock

The 15” line I bought from Apex measures from end of female fitting to center of the eye of banjo fitting.

I’ve still got an extra set of unused Apex lines if you are interested. The bottom is 15” with straight banjo fitting. The top is 12” with a 45 deg banjo. The 45 degree was not suitable to my no.10 tracker bar bend though. This is what I’m running on my 75. I went with black to emulate a stock appearance.

Let me see what's on there now Maybe what you have will work
Thanks

It looks like the top line is 11" with a 15 degree banjo end
And the bottom is a 15" with a 15 degree banjo end

PM me if you are interested in the lines i have. I will beat the retail cost considerably for you.
