That's an Indian clone. 42,500 Rupee's would be about 600 bucks. Now... what's it doin' in Kansas? :cautious:

I’ve seen a handful of Indian clones but this is by far the coolest one!!!

None that I’ve seen were knockoffs the way say the Chinese knock something off, but licensed, built in India and rebadged with an Indian name.

As for the mesh wire... you guys ever seen how many people they can stick on a motor bike?? I’d guess it’s so riders 4,5 and 6s feet don’t get caught in the spokes.

I’ve been 4 up on a 125 in Africa and that was quite a ride. India still puts the rest of the world to shame though haha.

Well I figured this was as good as any place to post this picture:

This is a picture of my wife getting a ride on a motorcycle while just outside of Calcutta India back in 2004. She and my sister-in-law went there to accompany a lady my wife worked with who was getting married to a man who was going home to have a traditional wedding in his hometown. She did get a few looks from the locals as it was normal for ladies there to ride side-saddle!

That’s cause back when motorbikes hit the scene women pretty much only wore skirts/dresses. Side saddle just works.

I think Europe and their territories post ww2 scooters were probably the most used mode of transport. Look at any old scooter manufacturers accessories from the time, a fold down step for riding side saddle was on it.

I’m guessing it’s just a carry over from riding horses.

Well wife's Vespa does not have one and if it did I think it might have some scratches on it from some of the curves she takes!
