Came across two XS1100s for $850 around Springfield, MO. One of them even (supposedly) runs:

I think he's asking way more than he's going to get.

Wow!!

They have been up for 28 days, I think you are right about the price. I suspect $500-600 cash might do the job.

Enough of that thinking... I am beginning to think you guys are a bad influence!
An XS11 will likely cost more to make right than an XS650, but to procure them, they're not much more if any. I got mine with about 9K on the clock, so mostly I've only cared for it. They will cost more than an XS650 to bring back from neglect. They also changed them year to year and the differences between a standard and a Special aren't so subtle. If it's an XS11 you want, don't dive in head first. You'll need to do a little research. You can always ask me.

This one is off the Texavina site. Needs rearsets. I like it!

While its nice from a design and execution POV chopped or cafe'd bikes offer little in the way of real comfort and for me ruin the reason I would own one...

That looks like pre-RD's.... an R5. More desirable (by me anyway) but harder to get parts.
Ask?
Location?
Title?

$600 OBO
Thanks guys. Driving there puts me over a grand. Wrong wheels, missing a cylinder... means the crank's shot. Carbs, tank.... ain't enough bones there to justify it. Appreciate the help though.

Clean, nice upgrades as a rider, but priced well out of my meager project budget. I have been looking for awhile now since finishing up a Honda CB750K4 and the XS650 prices are also on the climb along with vintage Honda's. Stimulus money, more people working from home, and tons more ads from people wanting to purchase vintage bikes on all the sites with deeper pockets than mine are just about making my little retirement hobby almost impossible. I was thinking about Ice Curling as a replacement, I already have a couple of brooms, those damn round rocks with a handle are pretty expensive though, and where to find ice in summertime Virginia may also be an issue.

Nice brakes. I'm not sure I'm OK with how they're mounted. It looks hokey.
