Well, I have not heard any reviews on this ft. stopper but may email G.Hoos in the AM.
My real dilemma is I have a perfectly good 256 B -Type sprocket tensioner...and a 447 cam w/ 36 teeth had been running a 219T chain (106). Feel I should play it safe going to a Type C rear tension guide set up...if I can find a C-type assembly. Never the less I found a new NOS Yamaha rear guide for $80 or a Mike's version for $30. Which one of those two do I want? I want a C-type assembly as it looks like the hex cap I have.
My sproket tensioner, not because I found it in the engine, but I really don't see the functional problem with that sprocket from laying the chain across 4 teeth...seems to fit well.

A new forum group buy of Hoos Racing front guides will be available shortly.
He just got in a new shipment So I asked nicely and got a good price for a bunch of them.
I'll be selling about a dozen (keeping some for moi). Quality has been good, heard no complaints or problems on the forum from the first group we sold.

This is a straight replacement for the OEM factory front guide?
If so, put me down for one.

Also these can be miss-aligned. , verify your chain runs down the middle. There is some adjustment before you tighten the bolts. The cam also cam be miss-aligned and not centered. Which ether one can be Identified by one side of the guide being worn taking the edge off.

I was referring to the aftermarket guides? I would take an oem in a second.
At one point I thought there was a problem with aftermarket guides.
If this one is comparable to oem that's awesome.

Put me down for one! Timing couldn't be better, with my chopper motor torn down right now.
