I'm trying to find another tank for my bike as the one I have has what looks like from the inside what could be a rust spot about to break through
Let me know if you have one that's preferably clean inside
I know it's a long shot but what the hell you never know what's out there

Fortunately there are lots of tanks out there for specials, if you don’t get a response from the forum be sure to check EBay , I see them all the time there. Good luck, you might even find one that’s the right color.

Ya the hunt has just gotten started
I'm trying to weave my way through FB and then on to CL and beyond
I really don't want to go with a liner

80 up had only one fuel petcock. I believe you may want to keep that in mind.
I do prefer both the shape and added fuel capacity of a Standard model fuel tank. A 77 Standard tank you may be aware had no tank badges but decals instead. I consider a 77 Standard tank to be a very good choice.
Manual petcocks (2). Easy to paint or use as is.
Good luck in your search.

Here's a couple crappy shots of the inside. Sun wasn't playing nice. The rust is not deep. but there is way more than I thought there was. It is a solid tank. Outside is very nice. I will take more shots of eveything if interested.

just put your phone camera covering the opening
With cameras flash it should get a pretty good picture of what it looks like in there
Thanks Mikey

Looks like most the rust is where the fuel nozzle hits a lot. There is a manual fuel petcock. If you have any other questions, please ask.
