$700. I wonder how hard an XS swap would be. 450s are kind of rare.

$5800. It would scratch the big twin itch. I dont think this one made it to the U.S..

$3200. Still want one. Probably the going rate considering how rare they are. Too close to the XS in style and function to justify the purchase though.

Yes, that's a keeper just like it is.

No, we did not get them. It does look like something I'd like, but not a good tool for Mississippi roads.

Yes, I like it, but I wouldn't buy one.

My favorite of all you posted. I've always liked the XS500.

NOPE.

I'd like another of these. There are a few for sale right now. Good legs and not what everyone else is running.

Between FB marketplace and Craigslist, i have over 1,000 bikes saved. Pretty Pillion keeps reminding me I have two bikes now, but both are over 800#. I want something smaller like a VMAX per se. She also keeps reminding me that I haven't got the Stratoliner back in service yet. I know I'm getting greyer, but does she think I don't remember these things?
Some say riding bikes past 50 is wrong. But with only 2, I still need 48 more to prove them right or wrong.

Different strokes for different folks and what not, but I got a chuckle at the idea of a VMAX being a way to downsize.
Yes, but I recently had a ride on what I believe was a Gen II Vmax with a Corbin seat and 4 into 4 Cobra exhaust. It looks small and feels small. It gave me a rough around the edges feeling like driving a 1966 GTO. It put a HUGE GRIN on my face.

Yes also noticed that Downsizing to VMAX
I remember when it came and the HD Chopper riders here liked it ---there was a magazine went to the dealer
for the test ride. I think it was pretty much the first .. last and only time a new Japanese machine appearing in that magazine They described it in the magazine

The dealer had the keys behind his back

"Now listen up --whatever you do -- do not God damnit twist full throttle "
After a short pause
" What did i just say "

And then handed over the keys ..

It has a reputation for having a " Hinge " In the frame ..but I have lately seen modified early models
That made head turns .. It has his followers and enthusiasts and Why not ...but again not the best reputation on anything but straight line between traffic lights.
Could see myself on one those I like the earlier models better.

I got to ride a V-Max in an urban area for a bit and liked it a lot. Never got to get on it, but it was a stump-puller and a real hoot just knowing it was way too much scooter. :yikes:
